Friends of the Performing Arts (FOPA) is a group of volunteers dedicated to keeping the performing arts alive in the community, and enhancing the quality of music education. FOPA is a non-profit organization and has been raising money at the yearly fundraiser event ‘Mardi Gras’.

FOPA has now partnered with LPSD to facilitate private music lesson instruction within the public school system. Any music teachers interested in becoming a FOPA Registered Music Teacher, please contact us for more information at cindy@fopa.ca.

Get your tickets now for NO BORDERS STREET DANCE , June 23, 2018

This year we are teaming up the Root Bistro to raise proceeds for our local arts. On June 23, 2018, from 7PM to 1AM, on 49th street, we will showcase local musicians, dancers and DJ’s. Tickets are $15, and kids 12&under are free!

All proceeds from Mardi Gras are donated to local performing arts’ needs. This year, we’ll will be able to contribute to school band, music and drama programs, dance and music festivals, and various scholarships.

We would like to extend a special thanks to our 2018 No Borders Street Dance Sponsors.  Without your support, FOPA and this event would not be the success that it is in our community!
